A large meeting was scheduled at the Jermuk Armenia hotel to address complex construction issues. The remote location required extensive coordination to cover all questions in one day before returning to the city. Meroujan was supposed to attend, but last-minute issues prevented him from coming, so Marish and Arsen, who had only been working on the project for about two months, went instead.
In the morning, they arrived to find a large group of installation engineers—at least 15-20 men—gathered to discuss the issues, which had been directed to the architects. There were endless complaints about the lack of walls and screed, and materials that hadn’t been ordered, resulting in a chaotic situation.
They mentioned that roofing work had begun, but they hadn’t met those people yet and were aware they had questions. Everyone was standing around discussing issues in one of the hotel’s empty, half-finished rooms, arguing and raising their voices in the echoing space. Suddenly, someone shouted, “HELLO!” and two bewildered faces appeared in the doorway. They had just come down from the roof and had been told that Marish’s team was coming from the city. Everyone turned, and one of them asked, “WHO IS MARISH?”
