Hospice

We present to you one of our brightest projects, a children’s hospice, which we implemented in 2019 with the City of Smile Charitable Foundation. Hospice (hospice) in Latin translates to hospitality and shelter. Many children with disabilities who need palliative care and psychiatric care can live at this hospice full-time. The hospice includes a multifunctional playroom for daytime activities and children have colorful and vivid rooms for the night.

When working on the Hospice Project, a key goal for us was to create an environment where children would feel at home. Realizing that this place, unfortunately, may be the last resort for many, we tried to make the environment as positive and soothing as possible. To convey a sense of comfort at home, we have mainly used plywood. An important part of the project is the multifunctional playroom, where children will interact and have fun together. The color selection is also not accidental: the blue will give comfort to the visitors, and the yellow will bring warmth, power and brightness.

We have done our utmost to make this hospice not only a home for children and their parents with limited opportunities, but also to convey love and affection with its ease and comfort. The design process was really exciting; we are confident that this place will serve its purpose with every thoughtful detail and convey to the children the warm and kind feelings of all the people involved in this project.
