Maytoni
The Yerevan branch of Maytoni, a German lighting brand, is located on Verin Antarayin Street. The interior design aimed to create a multifunctional, flexible, international-level showroom that goes beyond a simple store concept.
The project space benefits from ample natural light provided by large windows, enabling the showroom to be organized both indoors and outdoors. Situated on a busy street, the interior is divided into three primary zones: the indoor exposition or main showroom, the outdoor exposition or outer showroom, and the work area. The flexible and mobile interior showroom can be easily transformed from the main exhibition into a hall for up to 50 people or a workshop. The curved, volumetric design of the showroom creates the impression of an amphitheater, making it a central and inviting element of the space.
The main showroom is completely differentiated by color and volumetric solutions and consists of niches designed to display various types of lighting fixtures. The niche ceilings, made of MDF with small engineering openings, allow for easy changes to the displayed lighting fixtures. Movable shelves showcase technical lighting fixtures. All showroom furniture was made by a local manufacturer.
The main facade of the store-showroom features an outdoor display consisting of specially designed panels and pedestals for showcasing outdoor lighting fixtures. These have been engineered for easy product rotation without the need for renovation. In the evening and at night, the numerous installed lighting fixtures illuminate the facade, transforming it into a striking visual element that captures the attention of passersby.
The interior design of the store-showroom uses the Maytoni brand colors: white, purple, and gray. White serves as the main background color, creating a flexible environment through contrasting furnishings that can be easily adapted with changes in material and shape. Purple is applied to glass surfaces to create interesting light effects, while gray is used for the flooring.
